Job Title: Chef Assessor/ Trainer

Location: Home/Field based – Candidates must be flexible with travel

Salary: £34,000 – £36,000 (Depending on qualifications and experience)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Duties include:

1. Train, assess and deliver Apprenticeships in: Senior Culinary Chef Level 4 – along with other related qualifications.
2. Deliver to cohorts of learners online and face to face in a workshop / kitchen-based setting.
3. Support learners to achieve Functional Skills Maths and English to level 2.
4. Manage your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
5. Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
6. Support, advise and motivate learners.
7. Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners’ needs.

Essential Criteria:

1. Must hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA.
2. Have experience of delivering Chef Apprenticeships (online and face to face – and ideally workshop/group based delivery).
3. Confident to deliver training to groups of learners online and in person within a workshop setting.
4. Must have experience of working hands-on as an Executive/Head Chef or similar within a high-end restaurant setting.
5. Happy and confident to support learners with Functional Skills.
6. Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focused.
7. Must hold a full, clean driving licence and have use of a vehicle.
8. Must be flexible with travel.
