Job Description

Donna's UK Commercial Trading LTD t/a Pho Brunch is looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic Vietnamese cuisine while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, and presentation. This role requires culinary expertise, strong kitchen management skills, and a deep understanding of Vietnamese ingredients and cooking techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare a variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes with consistency and high quality. Ensure all dishes are cooked to perfection while maintaining traditional flavors.
  2. Recipe Development: Maintain and refine traditional and modern Vietnamese recipes. Experiment with new ingredients and cooking techniques to enhance the menu.
  3. Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high food preparation standards.
  4. Food Safety & Hygiene: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
  5. Inventory & Cost Control: Manage stock levels, monitor ingredient usage, and place orders for supplies. Minimize waste and control food costs while maintaining quality.
  6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless operations. Foster a positive and team-oriented kitchen environment.
  7. Menu Adaptation: Modify dishes based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Continuously improve the menu to keep offerings fresh and innovative.
  8. Presentation & Quality Control: Ensure all dishes meet high standards for taste, presentation, and portioning. Conduct regular quality checks to maintain consistency across all servings.

Qualifications

  1. Culinary degree or extensive experience in Vietnamese cuisine.
  2. Strong expertise in Vietnamese cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors.
  3. Ability to modernize traditional Vietnamese dishes while preserving authenticity.
  4. Proven leadership and kitchen management experience.
  5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality.
  6. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  7. Fluency in Vietnamese (preferred).
