KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational

• Maintain food and service quality and consistency in line with the company standards whilst on duty.
• Run shifts in the absence of a senior manager.
• Uphold standards of quality, presentation and cleanliness throughout the restaurant at all times.
• Deal with customers on a daily basis and in a prompt and professional manner.
• Complete daily administration, cashing up and banking procedures.
• Exercise financial control through labour and stock management during daily shifts.
• Ensure, at all times, that the company financial controls and paperwork are adhered to and operate all transactions highlighted in the company cash handling policy.

People

• Ensure that the customer receives at all times the highest standards of product, presentation and service.
• Supervising all members of staff when on shift to ensure food standards and service quality are maintained.
• Assist in the preparation of staff rotas were requested by the General Manager.

Legislation

• Ensure the security of the premises, stock and cash whilst on duty.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, legislation regarding Food Hygiene, Health & Safety.
• Maintain a professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.

ABOUT YOU

• Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing.
• Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance.
• Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards.
• Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.
• Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.
