Working Environment
We are looking for a creative, passionate Chef to join our team at Patching Lodge.

The ideal candidate must be able to prepare and cook quality fresh food for our residents on site and the paying public, be a self-motivated team player with a desire to develop your career as a Chef.

Job Description
As a Chef within our kitchen, you will have plenty of responsibility and opportunity to grow in your role, becoming a critical member of our team. We will give you responsibility for ensuring the food is to the highest standard, and that the kitchen area is always clean and well presented.

In addition, you will manage and ensure everyone is up to date with any special offers/allergens. Finally, along with colleagues, you will ensure COSHH, food safety, and H&S are followed, with any incidents reported in line with documented procedures, with the chef manager supporting you.

Working Pattern: 2 out of 7 days, 14 hours per week, overtime available.

Skills and Experience
The experience and knowledge we are looking for from our future Chef include:

  1. Food safety level 2 as a minimum
  2. Independent living/care environment experience
  3. Textured diet is an advantage
  4. Good all-round chef, able to manage their time and organise the kitchen and service
  5. Previous catering experience
  6. Possess a passion for food
  7. Second to none customer service skills
