Job Title: Firewall Engineer
Location: Halifax, 2 days onsite per week
Remuneration: 600 - 700 per day
Contract Details: Contract (6 months) + Extensions

Responsibilities:
Are you ready to step into a pivotal role as a Firewall Engineer? We are looking for a skilled professional to support firewall programmes within the dynamic financial sector. Here's what you'll be diving into:

1. Analyse the existing firewall estate to understand current setups and requirements.
2. Collaborate closely with a Network Management partner to deliver robust solutions.
3. Design and implement strategies for firewall hardware migration, ensuring a seamless transition between technologies.
4. Maintain a keen eye for detail to match solutions with agreed requirements.
5. Utilise your expertise to enhance security measures and optimise network configurations.

Skills:
To excel in this role, you'll need:

1. Proven experience in Firewall Design and implementation, particularly with Check Point.
2. Strong skills in Networking configuration and maintenance.
3. In-depth knowledge of Cisco products and network analysis techniques.
4. Command line proficiency with Cisco ASA configuration (essential).
5. Familiarity with Check Point R81 (essential) and R82 (preferred).
6. Practical experience with Fortinet products is a bonus!
