My client is currently looking for a Chartered Financial Planner to join their team in Manchester.
Working alongside the Head of Financial Planning, the Financial Planner will be an essential member of the team, providing advice and key recommendations to clients on areas such as retirement planning, tax and investment structuring, inheritance tax and estate planning. The role operates within the financial planning team providing excellent client service to help clients meet and enhance their individual financial goals and needs.
Responsibilities
Act as a centre of intelligence and excellence on financial areas such as retirement planning, tax and investment structuring, inheritance tax and estate planning. Along with developing knowledge on other areas.
Take responsibility for managing key relationships within the business, intermediaries, and clients gaining the position of Trusted Advisor.
Understand clients' overall financial position to ensure tailored plans, constructing detailed financial advice.
Work as a team and support the wider investment team by becoming an ambassador of good quality advice within the business and with clients.
Provide excellent customer service when building client relationships, responding to technical queries via phone, email, letter, or external meetings.
Assist with client enquiries, ad-hoc requests and complete all other reasonable tasks requested of you.
Play an integral part in your development by seeking out best working practices along with supporting and developing colleagues to ensure adequate cross skills in the team.
Undertake any other reasonable request as required by the Head of Financial Planning or the Investment Managers.
Reporting any risk which may be detrimental to clients or to the firm's reputation, which arise from inadequate procedures, systems or data handling.
Acting with integrity and for the benefit of the clients, in accordance with the objectives and cross-cutting rules of Consumer Duty.
Qualifications & Experience
Ideally Chartered but has attained the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent).
Good knowledge of financial services, the FCA, and financial products and services.
Strong analytical approach with experience of analysing financial records and technical information.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (intermediate level).
Ability to adapt, use own initiative and manage workloads.
Good attention to detail and proven accuracy skills.
