Due to our continuing success and as we continue to expand as a company and within our Building Surveying team in Oxford, we are now seeking a passionate and driven individual who is looking for their next opportunity as a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team with the opportunity to progress to senior surveyor and beyond.

This will be an active role with a mix of time in the office at our idyllic headquarters in the grounds of Blenheim Palace, along with essential visits to various sites across the UK.

Team Overview

You’ll be joining a new team focused on several key client accounts, providing technical support to prestigious clients with varied national property portfolios.

As we grow and develop within the team, you will need to demonstrate the capability of eventually managing individual team members, including organizing their project work and assisting them on projects where necessary.

As a Chartered Building Surveyor, your role will include:

1. Lead and develop detailed briefs in conjunction with the Client and senior colleagues
2. Establish and maintain client relationships
3. Support business development activities by senior colleagues
4. Produce designs and specifications including preparation of tender documentation
5. Administer JCT building contracts
6. Undertake all aspects of professional surveying work including condition surveys, specific defect analysis, party wall consultancy, dilapidations, and reinstatement cost assessment valuations
7. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other consultants (internal and external)
8. Assist the team leader with mentoring and control of project finances

Experience and Skills Required

1. Experience advising on commercial, retail, or educational properties in either the public or private sector
2. Demonstrate advanced Microsoft Office skills
3. Competent with NBS Chorus (not essential)
4. Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel within the UK

The role will require you to be the key point of contact with our prestigious clients; therefore, a high level of communication skills and commercial awareness are essential for success in this role.
