Are you a 'people person' with a desire to make a difference? Our Client, a national charity working with public health, is looking for an experienced Senior Fundraiser Trust and Grants who will be a superstar in bid & report writing and is able to build sustainable relationships for funding from Grants and Trusts.


We have a fantastic opportunity for a Charity Fundraiser working on funding from trusts and grants to work with an established but expanding charity based near Southampton.


The company is based in central Totton, and there is the opportunity to work up to two days from home (Hybrid). Expenses for events and travel, free parking, and Pension are provided.


The role of Senior Fundraiser (Trust and Grants)

The senior fundraiser is part of the fundraising and communications team reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Communications.


  1. Researching new trust, grant, and foundation funding streams and writing timely bids and applications.
  2. Submitting repeat applications to existing funders.
  3. Meeting funders to talk about our work and demonstrate its impact.
  4. Compiling reports and presentations for funders in line with all reporting deadlines and requirements.
  5. Managing projects and adding all details to the CRM system.
  6. Cultivating relationships with individual givers.
  7. Developing a program of philanthropic giving.
  8. Exploring new funding opportunities.
  9. Helping to collect and compile case studies and testimonials from project partners, patients, and volunteers to demonstrate how we change lives through dental.

We're looking for a skilled fundraiser with broad experience in trust and grant fundraising and donor stewardship, alongside entrepreneurial flair.


Qualifications

  1. Demonstrable fundraising experience across multiple techniques.
  2. Strong prospect research, networking, and communication skills.
  3. Knowledge of charity law, tax-effective giving, and GDPR.
  4. Excellent report writing and project management abilities.

Person Specification of Senior Fundraiser Trust and Grants

  1. At least two years' experience writing funding applications.
  2. A creative and proactive approach to sourcing new trust, grant, and foundation funding.
  3. Knowledge of charity law and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Good attention to detail, ensuring that all information is stored on our CRM.
  6. The willingness to attend our clinics and work with our patients, volunteers, and project partners.
  7. A team player.

Due to the nature of the role, you will need a current driving license with your own transport as some travel within the UK may be required. There may also be an occasional requirement to work evenings and/or weekends. Flexibility is key.
