Job Purpose

Charity Fundraiser – Various locations (Full time / Part Time) - Temporary - Permanent

Work for the Canal and River Trust in a full-time or part-time Fundraiser role and help provide more accessible green and blue spaces for everyone!

We are looking for passionate, dynamic and driven individuals who are enthusiastic about nature conservation, heritage, and wellbeing to represent the Canal and River Trust – one of the UK’s biggest charities.

• Hours guaranteed – not a zero hour contract
• Wednesday to Sunday
• Work between 3 to 5 days per week (your preference!)
• £13.50 - £13.91 per hour
• £15.59 - £16.00 (London Weighting)
• Immediate Start
• Full training included.

The Canal and River Trust maintains and cares for a 2000-mile-long, 200-year-old network of canals, rivers, reservoirs, and docks, providing accessible green and blue space where it’s needed the most.

As a charity fundraiser for the Canal and River Trust, you will engage in conversations with members of the public, inspiring them to support the Trust through ongoing donations either on the towpath or at pre-paid venues and events. You will also attend exciting events, such as boating shows, canal festivals, and many others.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience

The Ideal Candidate

Successful applicants will be confident communicators with great interpersonal skills, who enjoy working outside as part of a lively team but also have the ability to work alone. They will be activists at heart and keen to make a real difference.

• Full driving licence desirable but not essential
