The role of Charge Nurse at Elysium Healthcare's St Neots Neurological Centre involves leading and coordinating the nursing team, ensuring high-quality care and support for individuals with neurological conditions. Main duties of the job

As a Charge Nurse, you will oversee and provide high-quality care and support to people in a Neurological setting, while supporting your team and colleagues and promoting good teamwork. You will lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care, monitor service users' conditions, supervise and guide the nursing team, and liaise with other healthcare professionals.

What you will be doing

With previous experience from the NHS or private care, you will oversee and provide high-quality care and support to people in a Neurological setting, while supporting your team and colleagues and promoting good teamwork. As a Charge Nurse, you’ll lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care and delivery of clinical services, ensuring the day-to-day operations of your unit are performing well. You'll also;

  • Delegate nursing tasks to Nurses working in the unit and coordinate with other teams
  • Monitor service users’ conditions and respond to changes
  • Supervise other members within the team's unit and provide guidance and support
  • Make critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Be liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, with effective communication and collaboration

No two days will be the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.

St Neots Neurological Service is located in the centre of town and provides assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and complex care for both males and females suffering from a broad range of neurological conditions, which is provided by a highly experienced team based on site.
