As a Channel Partner Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for managing indirect channels in a given geography in the Mediterranean, Middle East and Africa. Through a mix of strong management skills, relationship building, and eye for business, you will be accountable for meeting or exceeding established sales goals, market growth and implementing applicable policies and procedures. You will report into the Indirect Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a strong indirect partner network and consistently meet/exceed sales performance goals working with channel partners
  • Develop and drive strategic plans, ensure efficient execution of those plans, as well as associated activities such as sales promotions, marketing, training, and channel-related support
  • Identify short term or long-term business opportunities and drive development plans over the short to medium term in line with organization strategy
  • Responsible for identifying, prospecting, recruiting, onboarding of new channel partners and the effective negotiation of new contracts and ramp to volume
  • Anticipate market needs, understand customers’ needs or problems, investigate underlying causes and recommend solutions through close collaboration with technical peers and channel partners
  • Ability to handle sales funnel, provide sales territory information, market trends and other relevant business data
  • Ensure reliable forecasting by channel partners for the upcoming 3 to 6 months and the integrated forecast on product line level within the settled timelines
  • Drive discounting policy to manage settled discount targets and ensure proper logging of additional discount requests by following the discount approval policies
  • Deploy the compliance requirements and ensure business operation within Agilent's steadfast legal and ethical standards
  • Organize regular (quarterly) reviews to ensure channel partners are delivering business results and present regular reviews and operational plans to all levels of channel partner management

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in chemistry, life sciences or related fields
  • Proficient multi-disciplined sales experience or demonstrated career progression within industry including management development. Experience of handling indirect channel sales is highly desirable
  • A solid understanding of chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy and scientific consumables products will be an added advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong initiative, judgment, and decision-making ability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in English, French preferable
  • Microsoft office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural, remote team and able to handle difficult and demanding situations and multiple priorities
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time in the own territory

This position can be based anywhere in Europe where Agilent has an entity.
