Transformation Project Manager (Brand Refresh)

6 Month Contract

£500-£600 pd Inside of IR35

The Transformation Project Manager will be responsible for delivering a costed activation plan for Phase 2 of the brand framework, a transformation programme that supports the Vice President External Engagement (VPEE) portfolio. This role involves developing a project plan for the rollout of the brand across digital and physical estate, coordinating stakeholders, monitoring risks and dependencies, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with transparency of costs. The role will work closely with the Director of Marketing, Head of Brand, and senior stakeholders, including the Brand Refresh Delivery Team to translate strategic priorities into actionable project plans and successful implementation.

Project

The role is essential to the planning, approach, and delivery of the successful rollout of our new brand across all key touchpoints. This role will be responsible for developing a detailed, resourced master plan to coordinate the phased implementation across digital applications, the physical estate, and branded materials.

With 1,700 digital applications identified, alongside physical assets such as strategic capital signage, merchandise, lanyards, and staff cards, a structured and strategic approach is required to ensure consistency and efficiency. The Project Manager will prioritise immediate brand touchpoints while planning for a longer-term rollout, aligning timelines with supply chain constraints and estates delivery schedules. This role will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition, minimising disruption, and delivering a cohesive brand experience across all platforms.

Key workstreams will be

  1. Recommending a rollout plan for year 1 to ensure that we maximise the launch of our brand across key touchpoints including our digital web estate, student recruitment collateral, and campaign collateral for the fundraising campaign and wider brand campaigns and miscellaneous brand assets.
  2. Project management support to deliver brand for key capital project signage.
  3. Recommending further long-term rollout over years 2 to 5 (or even longer).
  4. Coordinating with key stakeholders on requirements.
  5. Assessing supply chain implications on rollout plan, for example, merchandise buying lead time, planning application time, etc.
  6. Evaluating the cost of rollout and planning requirements by VP and Faculties responsible for implementing the brand locally.
  7. Providing transformation project advice to the Brand team.

This role requires strong project management expertise, an ability to work across teams, and experience delivering change within a large, complex organisation.

Experience needed:

  • Experience managing projects within a transformation or strategic change environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects using best practice project management methodologies.
  • Strong skills in project planning, execution, and monitoring within a structured governance framework.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in risk and issue management, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Professional Project Management Qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP) or equivalent experience.

Higher education experience would be highly advantageous as would experience with a branding project.
