Job description

We are looking for an experienced Change Manager to oversee products and infrastructure services, ensuring smooth transitions through effective Change Management practices. The primary goal is to minimise the impact of changes on live services, maintaining continuity and stability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing ITIL change functions and a proven track record in process development to enhance the maturity of the function. Knowledge and experience with Jira and Confluence are highly desirable for this role. This position offers a hybrid working model, requiring three days per week on-site in either Glasgow or London.

Key accountabilities:

  1. Ensure the prompt and correct use of the Change Management/Enablement Management practices.
  2. Ensure change management/Enablement is seen as the central and accepted point of contact for changes, to ensure no clashes of planned work across the portfolio.
  3. Review changes promptly and apply the correct change category to ensure changes are reviewed and approved by the appropriate Change Authority.
  4. Evaluate and validate the change for the appropriate category, level of content, quality, Impact and Risk Assessment and work with Change Requestors to ensure essential and supporting information is captured in the Change record including test artifacts.
  5. Chair and minute decision and actions at the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
  6. Approve minor and up to significant medium impact changes and review standard changes for consistency.
  7. After implementation, evaluate the change for any lessons learned, which may require a post implementation review and close the change request.
  8. Provide advice, guidance, training and inducting staff in change management practices.

Key requirements:

  1. Knowledge and demonstrable experience working in a Change Management/Enablement function.
  2. Results oriented with energy and passion to achieve and exceed stretching objectives and to deliver within tight timescales.
  3. Strong communicator with a high degree of written and verbal communication skills.
  4. ITIL4 or 3 Foundation.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Knowledge and experience of working in Jira and Confluence.
  2. Knowledge and experience of project methodologies, i.e. Agile, DevOps and traditional waterfall.
