Join the Board of Orbital South Colleges as Chair of the Corporation or a Governor (Audit) and support them in their mission to provide inspirational, inclusive and high-quality education and training.
Following a merger in 2019, Orbital South Colleges has continued to strengthen its presence in education across the counties, bringing schools, employers and students together to create Education Hub’s in the local communities. We provide a comprehensive range of courses to students from Level 1 through to degree and Higher National programmes, which all enable progression through utilising our 4 main pathways of study:
We also offer ESOL, English and Maths programmes as well as a supportive environment for students aged 14 plus, on either our Schools Links or Springboard programmes.
The Colleges have strong partner links with local secondary schools and work closely with them through fairs, taster events, assemblies and careers events, to support the work they do with their students in informing on their post-16 options.
We also have strong relationships with employers, who support with work experience, apprenticeships and T Levels, ensuring our students are linked with businesses who care about education and training. Plus, we help increase their workforce by growing their talent pipelines and ensure their business needs are being met.
OSC is a leader in the field of apprenticeships, and we pride ourselves on the wide range of subjects and levels on offer to students.
All the courses have been developed with the employers to ensure they are meeting the work skills required in industry and our students leave with the training and qualification required to further their careers.
OSC is a supportive and community-focused environment. Students benefit from extra-curricular activities, wellbeing programmes, and strong safeguarding support. We encourage students to aim high and develop their work, social, and personal skills.
The staff are supported through Learning and Development Days, Team Days, and a staff body that cares for and supports each other on a daily basis.
We are all Proud to be OSC.
