CFO UK & Ireland

Job Description
As the CFO for the UK and Ireland, you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial strategy and operations to support the company's growth and profitability. Acting as a business partner to the General Manager and Business Unit heads, your key purpose will be to ensure robust financial management, drive strategic initiatives, and provide insightful financial leadership to the executive team. You will oversee financial planning, reporting, and compliance, while optimizing the utilization of company assets and fostering a culture of excellence within the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- In partnership with the General Manager and the Business Unit Heads, coordinate the annual and monthly planning process of the company aligned with the Company directions and objectives.
- Design, develop and maintain Finance Management policies, processes, systems, or services to meet business needs.
- Implement innovations in existing financial processes, systems and methods for enhanced effectiveness and efficiency.
- Review, analyze and report on a timely basis the monthly financial performance of the company against budget, trend/rolling forecast, and previous year.
- Ensure that all functional departments work within their approved budgets.
- Manage working capital and cash flow of the company.
- Ensure that an adequate and effective internal control systems are in place and are implemented to properly safeguard company assets.
- Ensure that all transactions are recorded in the company books in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS.
- Ensure that all local regulatory laws applicable to Corporations are strictly followed and reportorial requirements of various government agencies (e.g., Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bureau of Customs, Healthcare bodies) are complied with.
- Ensure that tax optimization for the Company is in place.
- Coordinates review and approval of contracts and assess for corresponding business and financial risks.
- Lead and coordinate external and internal audits.
- Sees to the overall development of staff under supervision by providing required training and development programs.
Skills & Qualifications
- University Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (preferred)
- Good knowledge of international accounting standards (local GAAP, IFRS)
- Minimum of 5-10 years' experience as Head of Finance / Controlling team
- Ability to manage the needs of different internal stakeholders
- Ability to liaise with different external partners/contacts such as distributor/s, banks, suppliers, government agencies, etc.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and work-related pressures
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
