Job description

We are currently seeking a dynamic and friendly, full-time Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in our busy OB/GYN practice. We are a well-established practice with 3 locations in the Hampton Roads area with 9 physicians, 3 physician assistants, 1 nurse practitioner, 3 certified midwives, and a full-time marriage and family therapist.


Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Obtain complete patient histories and vital signs
  2. Room patients and assist providers with exams
  3. Assist with in-office procedures; LEEP, colposcopies, hysteroscopic procedures, IUD insertion and removals, and Nexplanon placement
  4. Perform non-stress tests
  5. Administer injections
  6. Ensure HIPAA compliance
  7. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment

Requirements:

  1. EMR (AthenaNet) and OB/GYN experience are a must
  2. Must be able to work independently and in a group setting
  3. Efficiency and attention to detail
  4. Solid critical thinking
  5. Strong communication skills; verbal and written
  6. Prioritize tasks appropriately and efficiently
  7. Problem-solving skills; adaptable and flexible

Schedule:

  1. Monday through Friday
  2. No nights, weekends, or major holidays
  3. May need to travel between offices

Supervisor:

  1. Reports to Clinical Supervisor
