Job description

Certification & Homologation Analyst
Location: Crewe
Contract: Until 31st January 2026 (Potential extension)
Hours: 35 per week
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Working Pattern: Hybrid 3 days on site

This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced and collaborative Technical Conformity team within the luxury automotive sector. As a Certification & Homologation Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting Technical Managers and the wider Certification team across a range of technical, compliance, and process-led responsibilities.

You ll be involved in supporting key meetings and technical reviews, managing documentation, analysing data, and helping to ensure that changes to hardware and software meet critical compliance standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong stakeholder skills and an interest in vehicle systems and certification processes.

Key Responsibilities of the Certification & Homologation Analyst:

  • Provide day-to-day support for Technical Managers across multiple programmes and functions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Certification and Homologation team to support ongoing compliance efforts.
  • Take ownership of capturing minutes and action points from key technical and legal review meetings.
  • Step in to represent managers at reviews when required, including analysing and interpreting data for discussion.
  • Open, manage, and track JIRA tickets to ensure proper documentation and traceability of certification and technical changes.
  • Assist with software and hardware change reviews; ensure relevant documentation is uploaded to JIRA.
  • Support ongoing assessments of software and hardware changes for certification relevance.
  • Work cross-functionally with diagnostic vehicle teams and Powertrain Collaboration Engineers to facilitate accurate and timely information sharing.
  • Liaise with suppliers on certification matters relating to vehicle parts and ensure changes are properly recorded.
  • Support UVC (Unit Verification & Compliance) activities including part number assessments across vehicles.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of technical administration processes, including supporting internal process/method development.
  • Maintain and apply a detailed understanding of systems such as SYS42 and provide hands-on support in managing configuration/version control.
  • Use Microsoft Office tools effectively to gather, analyse, and present technical information.

Key Skills & Experience Required for the Certification & Homologation Analyst role:

  • Experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable.
  • Previous exposure to powertrain systems, diagnostics, or collaboration roles is advantageous.
  • Ability to understand complex technical software and hardware systems, including string/label mapping in vehicle diagnostics.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and push for key information, even when under pressure.
  • A high level of attention to detail, particularly when reviewing technical documentation or recording meeting minutes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills able to articulate and extract relevant technical information from stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, including ticket creation and documentation management.
  • Familiarity with System 42 (or similar version control systems).
  • Good understanding of homologation processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • A relevant Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
