We are recruiting for a Central Production Executive Chef to work with us in our central production unit in Wimbledon. This is an exciting position for someone to manage a large team in the kitchen. We supply 5,000+ meals per day – a mix of buffet food, fine dining dishes and retail grab and go. This role will predominately be Monday to Friday for 40 hours per week; however, we do require flexibility to work a 5 over 7 rota when required and depending on the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with all aspects of food service preparation, production and presentation
• Ensure that the meals and services comply with the agreed budgetary standard and cost
• Coordinate and prepare a large volume of meals daily following several different menus and concepts
• Ensure appropriate portions and presentation
• Plan production and delegate tasks
• Lead and manage kitchen staff
• Assist with assessment of food requirements according to the menu and inventory, ordering the necessary commodities according to operational standards
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation and safety standards
