CDM Specialist Architect

Permanent role for Central London Team
£60,000 - £75,000

An award-winning Central London consultancy is seeking a talented CDM Specialist Architect to join their team. This is a rare opportunity for a creative professional with a strong understanding of health and safety in design to shape the direction of projects across all RIBA stages while championing best practices in CDM compliance.

The Role

As a CDM Specialist Architect, you'll bridge design and safety, working closely with project teams to ensure health and safety considerations are seamlessly integrated from concept through to completion.

This role requires an architect with a genuine passion for design and a proactive approach to risk management. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing Principal Designer services, advising project teams on CDM Regulations 2015.
  2. Guiding design teams to identify and manage risks throughout the design process.
  3. Leading workshops, design reviews, and safety briefings to promote a culture of health and safety.
  4. Collaborating with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver innovative, safe design solutions.
  5. Supporting business development initiatives to grow the practice's reputation in design-led safety.
About You

The ideal candidate will combine architectural expertise with a strong understanding of CDM and design safety principles. You'll bring:

  1. RIBA Part III qualification (or equivalent).
  2. Significant experience in design and delivery across all RIBA stages.
  3. In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and their application in practice.
  4. Exceptional communication, coordination, and project management skills.
  5. A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for innovative, safe design solutions.
