CCTV Public Space Surveillance Operator

You will probably know us best as the friendly faces you see around your local neighbourhoods and high streets keeping your streets safe and accessible. We are currently recruiting for a Public Space Surveillance Operator [CCTV] to work with our partners such as the Police, NCA, DWP, and other investigatory bodies in keeping our communities safe and helping Police by monitoring real-time CCTV and directing Officers by radio to incidents and securing evidence.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Identifying, reporting, and recording anything suspicious.
  2. Operating the cameras and equipment effectively, ensuring the best evidential quality images are recorded.
  3. Writing reports or witness statements and attending court to give evidence supporting the CCTV images.
  4. Liaising with external and internal agencies such as DWP, National Crime Agency, and other investigatory bodies.

Full training will be provided. We work on a shift basis, including evenings and weekends, so flexibility for the role is key. A full manual UK driving licence is essential along with great customer service skills and the ability to write reports. A Public Space Surveillance Licence is essential.
