Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an IT Project Engineer to oversee multiple teams of installation engineers on multi-site installations. The successful candidate will act as the technical project and commissioning engineer to deliver projects on time, in a safe and compliant manner, to company quality standards. You will provide a best-in-class swimming pool safety solution through reliable connectivity, robust infrastructure, and precision installation.

Responsibilities

1. Liaising closely with project and technical support managers to oversee multiple teams of installation engineers on multi-site installations, ensuring project delivery expectations are achieved, providing daily status reports against plan.
2. Understanding the project requirements, communicating with all stakeholders to ensure efficient onsite delivery of each project.
3. Accountable for the quality and thorough execution of the onsite programme of works, providing the support and engineering leadership to the local installation teams on each project.
4. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all project documentation (i.e. labour scheduling, in depth site survey reporting, health and safety, installation and service).
5. Conducting site surveys, ensuring every aspect of the survey is recorded and reported to the IT Project Manager.
6. Attend client meetings ensuring to communicate with clients in a professional manner.
7. Maintain standards of technical excellence within the department through active quality assurance on all works undertaken.
8. Be recognised as the customers' 1st point of contact for the project delivery, remaining professional and providing an excellent customer service.
9. Ensuring standards meet customer expectations and all installation engineers have a good understanding of what good looks like.
10. Be a role model to the installation team on site, demonstrating the highest standards of safety compliance, technical standards, and professional conduct.
11. Understanding customer needs and provide advice, and an engineering service suitable to meet the customer needs in full.
12. Identify and implement training for the Installation team as necessary, including hands-on technical guidance and coaching.
13. Management of clear performance communications to the installation team, providing timely feedback to ensure excellent project delivery.

Required Skills/Qualifications

1. Relevant Electrical qualification, with significant experience
2. IPAF 3a, 3b and MEWP
3. City and guilds fibre optic cabling
4. ECS card – preferably to Gold level
5. CSCS card
6. SMSTS
7. CNCI certified

Required Experience

1. Experienced in the installation of IP CCTV cameras and mounted brackets
2. Experienced certified structured data cable installations
3. Experienced in data rack building, termination, and data rate upgrade/tidying
4. Significant experience of supervising installation teams across multiple locations
5. Experience supervising teams working at heights, scaffolding, ladders and automatic lifters
6. Experienced supervising installing sub-bracketing using Channel Support Bracket components and system
7. Shift working between 20:00 to 06:00
8. Able swimmer, the role will involve working on platforms erected over swimming pools.
9. UK driving licence

Desirable

1. Familiar with network switching
2. Familiar with wi-fi technologies and access point installation
