Job Objectives And Responsibilities
To utilise Sainsbury's remote CCTV facility to identify and monitor security incidents, thereby reducing dishonesty and criminal activity across the Sainsbury's estate.
Work within geographic Zonal Teams in producing CCTV and CWC footage of incidents to identify local and organised criminals.
Produce CCTV and CWC footage in an evidential format to support Police investigations and secure Criminal Justice Outcomes.
Working directly with the key support functions such as store security teams, Sainsbury's SOC and operational teams reacting to live criminal activity.
To support in reducing criminal activity within stores by both reactive and proactive approaches to the role.
Effectively carry out administrative tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
Working within the geographic Zonal Team to reduce harm to Sainsbury's and support the contract's strategic plan and assessment.
Main duties
To deliver exceptional service to Sainsbury's through live and retrospective CCTV review whilst achieving KPI targets:
Utilising the remote CCTV system to identify prolific offenders and organised crime groups who target Sainsbury's stores, supporting the deployment of security solutions.
Utilising your skills and knowledge of offending, you will be responsible for effectively planning suitable stores for a focused CCTV review either through local knowledge or other intelligence sources, building positive relationships with all key support functions.
To effectively operate Sainsbury's remote CCTV facility whilst adhering to GDPR guidance and Mitie/client legal teams.
Be a direct support function to the Zonal Team setup within the SOC (Security Operations Centre).
Preparation of all CCTV material required for review/ further investigation or dissemination.
Completion of evidential Police statements (MG11) alongside any other necessary administrative duties.
Drive service excellence across the entire contract and share best practice by commitment to regular communication with key support functions.
Person Specification
A valid frontline and SIA CCTV license is desirable.
Experience of security within a retail environment.
Demonstrable competence in the detection of dishonesty/criminal activity.
Ability to provide support in a constructive way in a challenging environment.
Effective team player but must also be capable of working unsupervised.
Ability to work in a fast-moving security environment.
Strong capability in the use of CCTV technology.
Good attention to detail.
Excellent organisation and communication skills.
Health And Safety Responsibilities
