Job description

MTR Elizabeth Line are seeking to appoint a professional and reliable CCTV Administrator to ensure that Station and Train Services requirements for CCTV in terms of safety, crime and legal compliance are included in contract arrangements, standards, procedures and training objectives.

As a CCTV Administrator, you will manage the Operational procedures and interfaces which ensure that MTR Elizabeth line’s CCTV management remains legally compliant with the Data Protection Act, GDPR, MTR‘s internal CCTV policies and key stakeholder expectations.

Reporting directly into the Head of Security, you will monitor the performance of the data export service providers by regular review of performance statistics, analysis and initiating prompt remedial action. You will report this data back to help improve and adapt our initiatives, as well as promote new ideas to further enhance our processes.

Ideally, you will be a pro-active individual with well-developed communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within and outside of the wider business. You will have good knowledge of both legislation applicable to the use of CCTV and the application of CCTV on MTR Elizabeth line trains and stations, along with experience of managing a CCTV system.

Key Skills

To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate a mix of the following:

  • Experience of working unsupervised to achieve tasks.
  • Proven experience in taking a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Good knowledge of legislation applicable to the use of CCTV.
  • Good working knowledge of the application of Closed-Circuit Television on MTR Elizabeth line stations, trains and Body Worn Video.
  • Experience of CCTV in relation to criminal investigation and evidential admissibility, including DEMS (BTP system).
  • Experience in investigating problems and analysing performance data, in order to make reasoned recommendations for improvement.
  • Experienced and skilled in managing and presenting digital video data and analogue recordings.
  • Experienced in COS station CCTV processes and downloads.
  • Experienced in managing CCTV downloads for east and west stations.
  • Good working knowledge of ongoing CCTV station and train issues.
  • Good working knowledge of managing and processing Subject Access Requests.
  • Good working knowledge of current train and station CCTV projects.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and management of databases.
