Join Our Team as a Catering Team Leader!

Are you a hardworking entrepreneur who loves food and people? Do you thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Position: Catering Team Leader

Location: Aylesham Community Trust, Ackholt Road, CT3 3AJ

Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 per annum. Exceptional candidates may be offered a higher salary

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, likely to include Sundays

At Aylesham Community Trust, we believe in the power of food to bring people together. Our food strand will include a coffee shop, Sunday lunch service, dining events, and catered room hire. We are committed to high-quality food, excellent customer service, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment.

Shape our new coffee shop and kitchen service to be known for great coffee, lunches, and a friendly atmosphere. Lead the use of our new kitchen facilities to deliver essential services for the local community, including launching our coffee shop in May 2025 and a new Sunday lunch service. Develop catering for events and explore additional services like meals-on-wheels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the coffee shop and food events
  • Lead and support a team of staff and volunteers
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Develop and test new recipes
  • Manage budgets, sales, and costs
  • Implement marketing strategies
  • Promote community engagement and inclusivity
