Job Introduction

Catering Manager - Skelmersdale

Up to £33,000 per annum (DOE)

Monday to Friday role, however the site operates 24/7 therefore flexibility will be required.

Are you passionate about food and ready for the next step in your career or are you looking for a better work-life balance? We're looking for a Catering Manager who thrives on delivering outstanding food and exceptional dining experiences.

As our Catering Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the breakfast, lunch and dinner service along with vending and hospitality at our client's site. At Dine, we offer a personalised approach to our clients, whilst delivering outstanding service. Our passion lies in creating great-tasting menus, promoting sustainability, and proudly working with local suppliers and communities.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Comply with all client and company Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times
  2. Ensure all displays, counters, and seating areas meet both company and legal health and hygiene standards
  3. Provide support to the culinary team in the kitchen as needed
  4. Complete, maintain, and update all Food Safety and Health & Safety documentation
  5. Oversee and ensure the completion of mandatory training for all team members
  6. Champion the implementation of all company and unit profit protection procedures
  7. Conduct and supervise stocktaking procedures, minimizing waste risk
  8. Actively promote and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products to customers and clients
  9. Manage all financial transactions during shifts, ensuring compliance with Profit Protection Procedures and proper documentation
  10. Investigate and address any health and safety concerns
  11. Supervise food preparation and production, ensuring adherence to brand standards
  12. Ensure all company marketing materials are current and aligned with brand standards
  13. Analyze and effectively manage unit costs
  14. Monitor and manage gross profit (GP)
  15. Ensure accurate input and maintenance of cost and sales records

About You:

  1. Previous experience in a Catering Manager role, preferably within a contract catering environment
  2. Culinary experience is a must for this role
  3. Proven ability to drive innovation and sales
  4. Strong financial understanding, with experience in stock control and budget management
