HMP Doncaster is a category B local resettlement prison situated in South Yorkshire, housing a male population of up to 1145 individuals, approximately 200 of whom are young offenders aged 18-20.
As a resettlement prison, we work with our prisoners, particularly those serving less than 12 months, to ensure that they have the support they need for resettlement as well as access to the services and support available to them after release. The majority of our prisoners are released back into South Yorkshire.
Here at Serco, we are looking for a Catering Manager who has experience working in a commercial catering department within a prison setting or similar environment. You will manage the busy catering department for our prisoners and 400 staff; therefore, it is imperative you have significant experience including ordering and deliveries, budgeting, auditing, and staff management.

What you will need to do the role
Firstly, you must hold a Level 3 Catering qualification, and a clear advantage will be Leadership and Management qualifications.
As with any role at this level, you will have excellent IT, written, and communication skills and be very well organized.
In addition, your ability to use a range of management and leadership styles to support and motivate others will be evident and clear to succeed in this role.
