CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Catering Engineer to join the team located in London.

About The Role

As a CBRE Catering Engineer, you will carry out focused maintenance and repair within set timeframes and according to defined processes, service agreements, and customer needs. You will execute daily technical installation and service issues, complete planned site and customer visits to resolve customer queries as dispatched, maintain positive customer relationships, and complete feedback documentation of the customer's equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, diagnose and repair catering systems malfunctions requiring specific technical knowledge and relevant qualifications, as well as an understanding of time and material requirements. Seek clarification and technical support where needed and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Under general supervision, install, start up, and commission systems in line with defined regulations, standards, and processes.
  • Understand and analyze relevant technical documents such as electrical schemes, fluid schemes, piping diagrams, and psychometric diagrams.
  • Conduct fault finding on all catering equipment.
  • Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Meet regularly with customers to become familiar with operating problems and reach a full understanding of customer needs.
  • Keep customers informed on the nature of service provided, outstanding issues, recommend system enhancements, upgrades, replacements, and promote the sale of change orders and/or additional labor & material work (L&M).
  • Advise and train customers in system operations.
  • Document work completed in a clear and concise way and promptly submit service reports.
  • Maintain and improve technical proficiency in CBRE product lines.
  • Ensure compliance with the CBRE safety culture and adhere to all applicable safety standards, requirements, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and industry regulations, where required.
  • In addition to the above mentioned tasks, other activities and responsibilities may be individually defined.


Experience Required

  • City & Guilds Commercial Refrigeration Systems
  • Safe Handling of Refrigeration
  • Good customer relationship skills
  • Working knowledge of “Permit to work” systems
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings/processes
  • Time served Electrical / Mechanical apprenticeship
  • City & Guilds Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
  • 18th Edition IEE Regulations
  • Experience of Microsoft Office applications
