CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Catering Engineer to join the team located in London.

About The Role

As a CBRE Catering Engineer you will carry out focused maintenance and repair within set timeframe and according to defined process, services agreements and customer needs. Executing daily technical installation and service issues. Completing planned site and customer visits to resolve customer queries as dispatched. Maintaining positive customer relationships and completing feedback documentation of the customers equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Under general supervision, diagnoses and repairs catering systems malfunctions requiring specific technical knowledge and relevant qualifications as well as an understanding on time and material requirements. Seeks clarification and technical support where needed and escalates issues as appropriate.
  2. Under general supervision, installs, starts up and commissions systems in line with defined regulations, standards and processes.
  3. Understands and analyzes relevant technical documents such as electrical schemes, fluid schemes, piping diagrams, psychometric diagrams, etc.
  4. Fault finding on all catering equipment.
  5. Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Meets regularly with customer to become familiar with operating problems and reach full understanding of customer needs.
  6. Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided outstanding issues, recommends system enhancement/upgrade/replacement and promotes the sale of change orders and/or additional labor & material work (L&M).
  7. Advises and trains customer in system operations.
  8. Documents work completed in a clear and concise way and promptly submits service reports.
  9. Maintains and improves technical proficiency in CBRE product lines.
  10. Ensures compliance with the CBRE safety culture and adheres to all applicable safety standards, requirements and equipment.
  11. Ensures compliance with environmental and industry regulations, where required.
  12. In addition to the above mentioned tasks, other activities and responsibilities may be individually defined.


Experience Required

  1. City & Guilds Commercial Refrigeration Systems
  2. Safe Handling of Refrigeration
  3. Good Customer relationship skills
  4. Working knowledge of “Permit to work” systems.
  5. Understand and interpret technical drawings/processes
  6. Time served Electrical / Mechanical apprenticeship.
  7. City & Guilds Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
  8. 18th Edition IEE Regulations.
  9. Experience of Microsoft Office application
