Category Manager

A top 20 main infrastructure contractor is looking to recruit a Category Manager to work in the head office;

The main objective of the role is to set and deliver a category plan, you will:

• Commercial negotiation and supplier management across a portfolio of IT and direct material contracts.
• Deliver cost savings, service improvements, and drive supplier innovation.
• Lead category management lifecycle from RFI to award.
• Manage the commercial relationships with both new and existing suppliers.
• Manage and improve IT service, Licensing and SAAS agreements.
• Prepare and present monthly reports and updates for executives.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum of 3+ years' strategy category experience for any large complex business.

Ideally you will currently be working as a Category Manager, or an experienced Category Buyer who is looking for progression.

Must have recent experience of IT or indirect categories for 2 years + from any industry.
