The main purpose of this Category Buyer - Bagged Snacks role is to utilise data and have an understanding of brands to create new ranges, appropriate pricing, and sales-boosting strategies to deliver profitable ranges and drive year-on-year growth.

The Responsibilities for this Category Buyer - Bagged Snacks position:

1. You will be responsible for selecting and developing profitable new ranges for upcoming seasons.
2. This is mainly branded, FMCG buying but there is an element of NPD.
3. Holding accountability for P&L of the category, including the revenue, sales, margin, and promotional income.
4. This category includes all bagged, snacking ranges with confectionery, crisps, protein bites, and kids snacks.
5. Lead and develop innovative range plans around the categories.
6. Keep abreast of market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity.
7. Leading 1 BAA or AB level.
8. Using data and upcoming trends to generate new ideas on how to grow YOY sales and margin to deliver effective category plans.
9. Managing performance of products within budget.

To be successful in this Category Buyer - Bagged Snacks position:

1. 3+ years of experience within Buying.
2. You’ll be an experienced Buyer or Junior Buyer who has bought branded product ranges within food/FMCG or another fast-moving category.
3. If you have experience in food, health & beauty, household, snacking, gifting food, impulse, seasonal, biscuits, or confectionery, this is desirable but not essential.
4. Lead and develop innovative range marketing plans to suit the specific markets.
5. A head for figures, as this area is data-driven.
6. Used to highly promotional categories.

1. Salary between £45,000 - £51,000.
