Category Buyer

NXT is proud to be working in partnership with an award-winning retailer as we recruit for a Category Buyer.

Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £28,275 + quarterly bonuses

The role:
You will be responsible for leading a category, managing brand collaborations, devising trading strategies, and optimising inventory and supply chain operations. To excel in this role, you must be commercially driven with great communication skills and enjoy building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

Key aspects:

  1. Having full financial accountability for the category, encompassing sales, margin, stock management, and supplier agreements
  2. Spearheading the development and execution of pricing strategies
  3. Nurturing robust relationships with existing partners and onboarding new collaborators
  4. Leveraging data and insights to enhance P&L efficiencies
  5. Managing the product portfolio across online and offline channels
  6. Achieving ambitious Sales and Margin Targets
  7. Creating and implementing commercial product strategies

  1. A history of achieving performance targets and driving revenue
  2. Strong commercial acumen and business insight
  3. Proficiency in developing effective trading strategies aligned with overarching business goals
