How you'll make an impact

Processes and analyzes natural catastrophe risk information for insurance and reinsurance underwriting and portfolio risk assessment. Supports the business to access information, develop portfolio exposure models and create analysis procedures. Prepares analyses for Realistic Disaster Scenarios, Risk Aggregation and other risk measurement requirements. INTERMEDIATE: Applies practical knowledge of sub-function area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.

May require the following proficiencies:

• Facing function related problems that are difficult but typically not complex.
• Potentially influencing others within the function through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
• Works to achieve operational targets within sub-function with direct impact on department results. Works independently on larger, moderately complex/technical function projects/ assignments.
• Sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments.
• May train new team members.
• Responsible for adjusting or recommending enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of function.
• Problems and issues faced are general, and may require understanding of broader set of business issues but typically are not complex.
• Problems may require understanding of other function areas.
• Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue. Typically follows prescribed guidelines or procedures to resolve problems.
• Has working knowledge of basic concepts and procedures; performs a variety of routine tasks or assignments.
• Works under supervision and direction from more senior level roles.

About you

Required:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
