Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information, and cultural services for the city.
Working as a Swim Teacher on a casual basis, you will be required to work across Leisure & Culture Dundee facilities, including St Paul’s Swim & Sport, Grove Swim & Sport, and Olympia. When work is available, you will be contacted. There is no obligation for Leisure & Culture Dundee to offer you work, nor are you obliged to accept work.
You must hold a UKCC Level 1 Swimming Teaching Qualification or a Scottish Swim Teacher Qualification (SSTQ) and a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
To assist the Aquatics Development Manager and Aquatic Lessons Coordinator with delivering the full range of teaching functions and customer service requirements relating to Leisure and Culture Dundee's involvement in schools and the City-wide aquatics’ programmes.
You will have experience of planning structured activity/sports sessions, as well as excellent communication skills to work within a team and have the ability to organise sessions and time effectively. You will be approachable, reliable, and have the ability to motivate others. The ability to work flexible hours at citywide centres and a willingness to undertake training opportunities for purposes of both personal and service development are essential for this post.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to work being offered by Leisure & Culture Dundee.
