An established industry player is seeking dedicated individuals to join their Grounds Maintenance team. This casual role involves maintaining parks and open spaces across the city, ensuring they are clean and well-kept for residents and visitors. You will engage in various tasks, including litter picking, gardening, and supporting local sports events. This is a casual post with no guaranteed hours; you will be offered work as and when needed, primarily at weekends but may be asked to work at times during the week if needed.
Portsmouth's parks and open spaces are of a consistent high standard, fit for purpose, and they need to be maintained to meet the needs of Portsmouth's residents and visitors. The service's main priority is to maintain a high standard across all parks and open spaces which covers 760 hectares of publicly accessible green space in Portsmouth, consisting of parks, open spaces, allotments, cemeteries, a golf course, and semi-natural open space, with assorted sports and play facilities within.
As part of the Grounds Maintenance operations team, you will carry out the necessary works to ensure that the parks, gardens, and open spaces are well maintained and kept tidy to a level of continuity for the residents, communities, and visitors.
