Job description
  • Casual relief Educator for Horsham, Warracknabeal, Kaniva and Balmoral.
  • Choose your hours + 10% discount on childcare fees + salary packaging.
  • Work in small rural childcare services and be part of the community.

About the opportunity

Whether you are an experienced Educator seeking flexibility with your hours or recently qualified and looking to grow your skills and experience – we can support you.

We have casual relief opportunities for Diploma or Cert III qualified Educators to provide relief cover in our Childcare services across the Wimmera. Locations include Horsham, Warracknabeal, Kaniva and Balmoral.

As a relief Educator, you will be part of the team providing high quality early childhood education and care to children. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing strong relationships with children at the service, their families, and the community.
  • Assisting with the implementation of a play-based learning environment responsive to children’s interests, strengths, and abilities.
  • Contributing to the planning and implementation of programs which reflect the emerging skills and interests of children.
  • Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in the service’s operations.

What’s on offer

We have small, licensed numbers in our rural childcare services, allowing for more meaningful relationships with the children and families from each of these services and an opportunity for you to become an integral part of the community.

You have the flexibility to choose your hours and days you work.

In addition to receiving an hourly rate + 25% casual loading, you can increase your take-home pay by accessing salary packaging benefits for living expenses such as groceries, bills, clothing, streaming services, and much more.

You can access a 10% discount on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service or centre.

About you

You will have either a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood (or equivalent) and relevant experience in an Early Childhood services role.

You will also have a sound discipline and knowledge, including the underlying principles of Early Years, gained through experience, education, and/or training.
