All about the Role

At Clare Lodge we are passionate about what we do, and we strive for excellence in all we do. We are seeking a highly motivated, creative and skilled case manager to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team who are committed to improving the lives of children.

As a Case Manager, you will:

1. Take case responsibility for young people placed at Clare Lodge ensuring the young people’s complex needs are met through case planning processes in a multidisciplinary way.
2. Provide inspirational leadership to a group of Team Leaders and Residential Care Workers.
3. Be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and be part of the Duty Manager rota, including being on call.
4. Support your staff team with training, supervision, and professional development.
5. Recruit and select new employees and assess their performance.
6. Ensure that the voice of the child is heard and respected in the service delivery.
7. Adhere to and implement the relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
8. Participate in the development and improvement of the service.
9. Undertake relevant training and qualifications as required.
10. Immerse the home in a culture of positivity and transparency.
11. Be child-focused, achieving positive outcomes for young people and ensuring the delivery of outstanding care.
12. Set up processes for safeguarding and the management of the day-to-day operation of the home, contributing to developing and building well-established principles and practice standards for the home and proactively contributing to the continuous improvement of the young people’s lives.

All about You

1. You have leadership and management experience in a Children’s Services role, ideally in children’s residential care.
2. You have significant experience of delivering high quality and child-focused support.
3. You have a strong knowledge and understanding of all relevant legislation including The Children Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000 and Children’s Home (England) Regulations 2015.
4. You hold a Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or a qualification in a related field.
5. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. You have a full driving licence.

All about Clare Lodge

Clare Lodge is a leading national provider of all female 'welfare' placements (Children Act 1989, Section 25) for young people in the UK. The service is independent, not contracted to the Youth Justice Board and accepts referrals in respect of young people aged 10 to 17 years who are in need of care, programmes of intervention and protection. Typically, those placed have extensive histories of abuse and exploitation, poor attachments, and low self-esteem. Many of the young people have a range of health/mental needs and exhibit complex behaviours which may include running away, self-harm, exploitation, psycho-sexual difficulties, issues concerning drug and alcohol misuse, eating disorders, aggression and other challenging behaviours.
