Your new company
Due to the partnership between Hays and Birmingham City Council, we are looking to recruit a Caretaker to support their neighbourhood team. Your new role
You will be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of care-taking, cleaning, health and safety and maintenance services across specified neighbourhoods. This will include the cleaning of internal and external communal areas of high-rise and low-rise blocks and other housing/communal areas within the neighbourhood. You will also be providing assistance to customers relating to general housing-related queries, liaising with Neighbourhood Caretakers, District Neighbourhood Caretakers and other BCC colleagues.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have had previous experience in a similar job role and be able to take care of any tasks required to ensure the maintenance of the service, including carrying out basic repairs, maintenance and safety checks. Within this role, you will need to use your initiative and be able to identify hazards and resolve them.
