Hours: Full-Time, 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Job Description:
Prospero Teaching is working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Greenwich, who are looking for an experienced and reliable Caretaker to join their team. This is a temp to perm role starting on 22nd April 2025, working full-time from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate for this role is GBP110 - GBP130 per day, and there is the potential for the role to become permanent after the initial contract period.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing the general maintenance and cleanliness of the school, including classrooms, corridors, and bathrooms.
2. Ensuring the school premises are secure, including locking and unlocking the building and maintaining safety protocols.
3. Managing day-to-day repairs and maintenance, reporting any issues to senior staff.
4. Maintaining the school's grounds, including outdoor play areas.
5. Assisting with the setup and clearing of the school for events and activities.
6. Carrying out regular health and safety checks on the school's equipment and systems.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Previous experience working as a Caretaker, ideally within a primary school setting (but experience in other environments will also be considered).
2. Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive approach to work.
3. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
4. Ability to work independently, but also collaboratively with a team.
5. A good understanding of school-based health and safety regulations.
