Caretaker

Location: Sacred Heart Academy, Redcar

Working hours: 38.75 hours per week, shift patterns on weekly rotation

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Salary: £13.54 per hour

Your new role

What you’ll do:

  • Follow relevant Company procedures relating to security, access, maintenance & repair, and health & safety. This includes the security of the premises and its contents, lighting, heating of premises, handy-person duties, and assisting in securing the site.
  • Arrange for appropriate maintenance of plant and associated equipment.
  • Report any faults to the line manager in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Assist with maintaining the premises, undertaking initial checks or inspections, and various administrative procedures related to maintenance activities, energy conservation, and anti-vandalism measures.
  • Take delivery and arrange for the storage of materials, stores, and other goods.
  • Carry out porterage duties as required, including setting out furniture and portable sports equipment as well as distribution of supplies.
  • Undertake emergency cleaning duties as required during hours of occupation.
  • Carry out minor or temporary repairs and maintenance tasks within the competence of the operator or report as necessary in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Ensure the delivery of services in accordance with customer service standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain limited delegated budgets, including accounting for expenditure and handling financial data.

What you’ll need:

  • Awareness of Health & Safety issues and the need for safe methods of working.
  • Awareness of COSHH regulations.

The successful candidate will require an Enhanced DBS with child barred list Check before starting in the job.
