Caretaker

We are currently looking to recruit a Caretaker/Handyperson/Maintenance Assistant to work for a friendly school based near Stratford, East London.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 6.45am to 10.00am and 2.30pm to 6.30pm, the role pays £18.50 per hour via Umbrella company or £15.50 per hour PAYE.

Duties

General Caretaker/Handyperson/Maintenance Assistant duties include:

1. Opening up the school and unsetting the alarm
2. Weekly fire alarm checks
3. General repairs and maintenance within the school
4. Unblocking sinks/toilets
5. Fixing door/window handles
6. Painting and decorating
7. Replacing toilet seats
8. Putting up shelves/pin boards
9. Daily health and safety checks
10. Porterage and moving furniture
11. Delivering parcels around the building
12. Litter picking and sweeping up leaves
13. Emptying bins
14. Replenishing supplies around the building (e.g., soap, paper towels, hand sanitizer)
15. Grounds maintenance
16. All other duties as required
