Caretaker

Based at Forest Gate - London

£28,734 - £30,246 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 16:00pm

We are seeking a Caretaker to join our team at our Estate Services team based in London.

As a Caretaker you will be responsible for carrying out bulk removals and disposing of items in a correct manner as well as general cleaning of communal areas. The ideal candidate will have either cleaning or caretaking experience and a track record of delivering high quality services, demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and high levels of customer service.

The role of Caretaker will include:

1. Removal of bulk and overspills
2. Undertaking general caretaking duties including cleaning of communal areas
3. Grounds maintenance tasks to include litter picking and general upkeep
4. Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services
5. Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
6. Carrying out Health and Safety Inspections and reporting necessary repairs
7. Complying with relevant policies and be Health and Safety orientated
8. Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition

Skills and experiences:

1. Experience in a similar cleaning role or completing similar tasks
2. British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS) would be advantageous
3. Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
4. Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritizing workloads
5. Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
6. Good communication and customer care skills
7. This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full manual valid UK driving licence

11. Role salary is £27,940 with an additional policy allowance of £793 per annum (rising to £29,411 with an additional policy allowance of £835 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
