Job Description: Caregiver for Lady with Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Position: Caregiver
Location: Chichester
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday mornings (7am - 10am)
Compensation: 15.66

Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to assist a lady with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The primary responsibilities include helping her get out of bed using a ceiling hoist, providing assistance with personal care, feeding, and supporting her morning routine. The caregiver will also help with light exercises as part of her daily routine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with getting the lady out of bed in the mornings using a ceiling hoist.
• Provide assistance with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Help with feeding and ensuring she receives appropriate nutrition.
• Support the completion of her morning exercises to maintain mobility and strength.
• Assist with any other activities related to morning routine as needed.
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful environment at all times.

Requirements:

• Experience in caregiving or personal care, particularly with individuals living with MS or other mobility challenges.
• Ability to safely use a ceiling hoist or willingness to learn.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to caregiving.
• Ability to assist with personal care and daily tasks.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Desirable:

• Previous experience with MS care.
• First Aid qualification.
