Careers and Employability Adviser (Maternity Cover for approximately 12 months)

Student Futures is seeking a passionate Careers and Employability Adviser to join our dynamic team. As a vital member of our department, you'll play a crucial role in guiding LJMU students and graduates towards successful careers.

Your Mission:

1. Personalised Guidance: Provide tailored career advice and support to students, helping them identify their strengths, explore career paths, and navigate the job market.
2. Skill Development: Equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for job searching, interviewing, and career planning.
3. Faculty Collaboration: Work closely with faculty members to deliver targeted career interventions and support students' academic and professional goals.
4. Career Success: Contribute to LJMU's mission of fostering high-skilled graduates who are confident, adaptable, and prepared for the workforce.

What You’ll Bring:

1. A strong commitment to student success and a passion for career development.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. The ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
4. A solid understanding of the job market and career trends.
5. Experience in providing career counselling or advising (preferred).
