We are looking to recruit a Careers Adviser to join our friendly community team in Manchester Powerhouse.
They will become part of a team that engages and provides careers support to 16–18-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), helping them to identify their career ambitions and move into fulfilling training and employment opportunities. This varied, interesting and rewarding role will be based at our office at The Millennium Powerhouse in Moss Side, though you will work flexibly in venues in the community across Manchester.

You will join our team in the work that we do across the city and work closely with colleagues in partner organisations to help improve outcomes for young people. This will involve direct contact with young people, their parents/carers, and a range of professionals from support services, training providers, and employers across the city, so excellent communication skills are essential, as are effective time management and the ability to travel independently.
Salary: £26,485 - £30,012 for a 35-hour week, with great benefits and plenty of opportunities for staff training and internal progression.
We will also consider applications for a Trainee Careers Adviser role from applicants who have a relevant qualification and experience in a related role. This role would be paid at £26,262.
Location: You will be based at our office at Manchester Powerhouse, but you will work flexibly in venues across the community. We’re looking for people who can manage their time well and travel independently.
Qualifications: For those applying for the Careers Adviser position, you must hold a Careers IAG Level 4 or Level 6 qualification and have relevant experience. If you are applying to work as a Trainee Careers Adviser, you must hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification and have relevant experience.
