Your opportunity

The Marketing Manager will oversee our owned media channels of email, website and social media across our 11 investment trust clients and JHI. They will also be expected to support any development of other owned media assets of our investment trust clients such as factsheets and Annual Reports.
 

  • Execute a comprehensive owned media strategy that aligns with the JHI and investment trusts objectives and market positioning
  • Provide input and ideas to develop the strategy to maximise engagement by our target audience
  • Manage and optimize email marketing campaigns, from concept development to execution using Pardot. This includes A/B testing and performance analysis to ensure high engagement and conversion rates.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the investment trusts website, ensuring content is current, accurate, user-friendly and optimised for search engines.
  • Craft engaging content for our social media channels, aimed at increasing followers, engagement and driving traffic to our website.
  • Manage social media posting via Hootsuite to ensure regular and timely posting across our accounts.
  • Monitor and report on analytics across all owned media platforms to gauge the effectiveness of strategies, making data driven adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Content Manager to produce high-quality assets that are cohesive across all channels and resonate with our target audience.
  • Manage the content calendar for all owned media channels, liaising with relevant stakeholders and ensuring a consistent and timely flow of content.
  • Implement SEO best practices to enhance content visibility and website traffic.
  • Ensure all communications adhere to quality standards including managing compliance process, thorough proof-reading and attention to detail.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to ensure our owned media channels remain innovative and effective.
  • Support the development of best practice reporting for our investment trusts including factsheets and financial reports.
  • Managing budget and invoice tracking
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on email marketing, website management and social media
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles and analytics tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Marketing experience in the asset management industry with clear understanding of the financial promotion rules and compliance requirements
  • Analytical and presentation skills for reporting activity to stakeholders

Nice to have skills

  • Proficiency in using Pardot and familiarity with content management systems
  • Experience in using Hootsuite to manage social media accounts
  • Knowledge of the UK retail investor sector
