This is an exciting time for the London Borough of Redbridge; we are at the heart of regeneration and change in East London, with unprecedented investment in the area expected in the next few years. The Elizabeth Line will continue to open up new opportunities for new homes and jobs. We need to proactively manage the investment being made in the borough to deliver a significant amount of new housing and supporting community infrastructure, drive economic growth to encourage local businesses to thrive, and create a place in which people are proud to live, work, and visit.
The team has worked to transform the service over the last four years to meet the challenges faced by unprecedented growth in the borough. We were named Local Authority Planning Team of the Year in the National Planning Awards 2020, The Planning Team of the Year (Public Sector) in the RTPI London Awards for Planning Excellence 2021, and won Best Council Service Team at The Municipal Journal (The MJ) Awards in 2022.
About the Opportunity
The London Borough of Redbridge is looking for two enthusiastic and qualified graduate planners to join its busy Development Management team. The intention is to appoint at both Graduate and Planner level. This exciting career grade role offers a planning graduate the opportunity to progress in their career up to a senior planner level.
Graduate Planning Officer - £34,416 to £35,448 per annum
Planning Officer - £42,324 to £44,331 per annum
Our offices are in Ilford Town Centre, although we operate a hybrid working model with a mix of office and home working with an expectation of a minimum of 2 days in the office.
