Overview

Salary: $45,000 per year

Do you have a passion for making a difference in someone’s life? Are you goal-driven? Then the Career Advisor position is for you! We are seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to join our spirited team.

As the Career Advisor, you will assist in career planning and employment referrals. You will provide excellent customer-centered services designed to enhance and re-engage job seekers into the workforce, while working closely with the Business Services Team to ensure that sustainable career opportunities are available for all job seekers.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide information about CareerLink services and the services of partner agencies and organizations to job seekers.
  2. Maintain a caseload of 50-75 WIOA program participants.
  3. Administer suitability assessments for individuals pursuing training opportunities.
  4. Represent EDSI on various committees and workgroups as assigned.
  5. Additional tasks may be required to ensure excellent service delivery.
Qualifications
  1. Experience providing excellent service to job seekers and employers.
  2. Experience working with economically-disadvantaged populations.
  3. Ability to prioritize tasks and document all aspects of services provided.
  4. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  6. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  7. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
