Job description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Care Worker to work in a residential care setting.

We have both regular shifts (35 hours per week) and bank shifts available. Please note that we don't offer sponsorship, and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.

Rate of Pay: £12.26 - £15.82 per hour

Summary:

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to support individuals in the community and residential settings. This role involves providing high-quality care and assistance to individuals who require support with daily activities, personal care, and overall well-being. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for vulnerable individuals, ensuring they maintain their dignity, independence, and comfort.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to service users.
  • Support individuals with mobility and physical activities.
  • Administer medication in accordance with care plans and council policies.
  • Help service users with meal preparation and feeding where required.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).

Essentials:

  • Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in care settings.
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle may be beneficial for community-based roles.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the U.K.
  • This role requires an enhanced DBS.
