An exciting opportunity has arisen within our business for a Care Manager. The role will be based in Birmingham but will require some site visits, so car ownership and a driving licence would be highly beneficial.
Main Duties:
Supporting the registered manager in ensuring all CQC requirements are met
Monitoring service to ensure it meets company targets and contractual requirements
Reporting to the Registered Manager any issues regarding the legislative requirements concerning the services provided and the staff providing them.
Assisting the Registered Manager in implementing the monitoring and quality control processes under the Company’s Quality Monitoring Policy
Assisting the Registered Manager in carrying out surveys, monitoring Staff performance, training and supervising Staff in Quality Control assessments.
Ensure care is provided according to all relevant policies, procedures and regulations.
To assist in the recruitment of care workers in line with company policies and guidance, ensuring all recruitment checks are satisfactorily completed.
Undertake Risk Assessments in service user’s homes and maintain accurate records of support workers and Service User’s, keeping all records updated in accordance with Data Protection and GDPR.
Development of service users Care Plans
Consult with family members and other approved persons to ensure that care is ongoing and that all client needs are identified and met
Carry out ‘On-Call’ duties on a rota basis and with a level of flexibility on weekends, nights and bank holidays when the need arises.
Ensure that care workers are trained to administer the required care
Cover emergency work for care workers due to illness or unforeseen circumstances
Develop weekly rotas for care staff.
Planning, allocating and evaluating the workload of the care/support workers to ensure a safe and effective service delivery. Particular attention should be paid to providing continuity of care/support to individual service users.
Required:
Educational/Training/Qualifications NVQ 5 (Leadership & Management) or equivalent
Minimum 2 years at line management level, in a similar role or professional qualification with 2 years relevant care setting experience
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
Computer literate
Understanding of legislation concerned with care provision
