Job Overview

Seeking a personal assistant for a young gentleman in Norton.

Responsibilities

My client is looking for someone to help him access social activities within the local community. He enjoys activities such as walking in the local area, swimming, and bowling. The role includes:

  1. Providing support and reminders with personal care tasks associated with these activities, such as getting dressed after swimming or visiting the bathroom.
  2. Encouraging participation in social activities.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

  1. Awareness and prior experience of working with a young adult with learning disabilities.
  2. A friendly, firm, and patient demeanor.
  3. Positive and encouraging behaviors to ensure appropriate activities are attempted and enjoyed.
  4. An understanding of busy/noisy surroundings leading to possible anxieties, with the ability to reassure and support in short calming sentences.
Requirements

Successful candidates will need:
